Development Process & Methodologies
Helmes is able to provide both – development using the formal development methodology (with predefined requirements and specifications) or agile development for projects with shorter time-to-market.
We usually suggest agile development (SCRUM, MSF) to:
- enable short time-to-market (agile development saves time on analysis phase and provides tangible results in short time)
- allow introducing new ideas at any point of the development process (the requirements are specified in the course of the project)
- ensure that features providing the highest ROI for the project are completed first (the client is in control of the development process)
However we suggest the formal method (RUP) when:
- the requirements are entirely specified in the beginning of the project and are not subject to changes during development process
- the fixed budget must be strictly met
